From a recent report published by US Military Intelligence:

“Moscow seeks to promote a multi-polar world predicated on the principles of respect for state sovereignty and non-interference in other states’ internal affairs, the primacy of the United Nations, and a careful balance of power preventing one state or group of states from dominating the international order.’

The long quote near the beginning of the article says it all.

Those goals would be the goals of every decent leader in every decent country.

Only in the United States would they seem threats.

Why is that?

Because we share the planet with a fairly power-mad country which behaves much like a 1930s fascist government in Europe.

It pretends to be otherwise, to adhere to high ideals, and it expends great resources in its press and in its public relations efforts on convincing people that it is so.

But one of its key goals – openly stated, not kept secret, by the Pentagon – is “full spectrum dominance” over the planet, a phrase which implies dominance in a number of key areas, including military, economic, financial, and energy resources.

You really could not define modern fascism better if you tried.
