The communications director who ran Clinton’s 2016 US election campaign says America was not ready for a woman in the White House – but it soon will be

“We reduced Hillary to a female facsimile of a male president”

That is not my perception, at all, and there would be nothing wrong with that if you had done so.

Maggie Thatcher was viewed as pretty masculine by some, but she was a very able leader, even if you didn’t like her views.

I am not even sure that statement about a “female facsimile of a male president” even makes a great deal of sense, but it definitely demonstrates pretension in the power of consultants.

In the end, you cannot make a silk purse out of sow’s ear, as the old proverb goes. Even when you spend over 1.2 billion dollars as Hillary did.

Hillary has always been perceived negatively by a large portion of Americans.

She has said and done many unpleasant things quite on her own over the years without help from others.

Here’s one: “”We came, we saw, he died. Ha ha, ha!” This, about the murdered leader of a country he had always kept at peace and one who greatly helped his people.

Here’s another: “Can’t we just drone him or something?” This about Julian Assange, one of the most honorable people of our day, and a man who really does deserve a Peace Prize.

If someone else had run, Trump would have lost, full stop. Many people perceived Trump’s faults, but many did think he had a little of something else he might give, at least when compared to Hillary.

The Clintons have been a literal money machine for the Democratic Party for years with their connections and Foundation. And money is what counts in American politics. Lots of it. That’s how she was able to get two nominations despite the doubts of expert observers concerning her viability as a candidate.
